3 Spring destinations to enjoy in your motorhome

As we march forward to spring… It’s time to start planning those scenic motorhome holidays. Get lost in springtime beauty in one of these 3 UK destinations.

Spring is arguably one of the most beautiful times of year in the UK; spotting colourful bluebells and daffodils, enjoying walks in the ideal weather conditions and being able to stop for a picnic along the way!

Whether you want a taste of beautiful towns, coastal areas, islands or countryside landscapes we are sure you’ll find the right inspiration in this list of UK locations!

Yorkshire Dales

The hills of The Yorkshire Dales make a fantastic spring destination. There’s something for everyone here- families can go walking as there are many varied short walks you can take to enjoy the wonderful scenery. Fancy something different? Why not take a trip to Sedbergh, a unique town described as ‘a space to breathe.’ It’s ideal for quiet riverside walks and lazy picnics. If you want something more lively then you can take on wild swimming in one of the four rivers, or sailing and kayaking on Killington Lake.

Skomer Island

Skomer Island, lying less than a mile off the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast, is a world-renowned wildlife paradise. If you pitch your motorhome in Pembrokeshire, you can then visit Skomer by a 15-minute boat ride using the Skomer Island Landing trip service. Here you can get within a few feet of Pembrokeshire’s famous puffins! Spring on Skomer Island is an explosion of colour with a carpet of bluebells and pink campion covering most of the island. The colours are so vivid they can easily be seen from the mainland!

Harrogate

If you want a mix of town exploration and being at one with nature - Harrogate is the perfect place to visit in Spring. Enjoy the Victorian-era charm of the town, soaking in its rich culture and stopping in Betty’s tearoom for rich refreshments. Get the best of both worlds by pitching in one of these sites near Harrogate so you can explore the surrounding countryside at your own leisure, too. Harlow Carr, on the outskirts of Harrogate, will delight a flower lover at any time of year!
